St. Patrick’s Day

Irish Fest bandAre you Irish? On March 14, everybody is Irish in Oshkosh! Put on some green, come downtown and join the fun.

The family-friendly party will start at 2 p.m. in a giant, heated tent located on the 500 block of North Main Street.

Enjoy live Irish music, Irish dancers, Irish food, Guinness beer and displays on St. Patrick and Ireland’s history. A parade will start at 4 p.m., beginning at Ceape Ave. and traveling North on Main Street to Irving Ave.

Irish bands Malarkey’s Men and The Roving Scallywags will provide entertainment inside the tent. Also performing: Richard’s School of the Dance, Kinsella Academy of Irish Dance and bagpipers. There will also be contests for the most freckled face and the reddest hair.

Several fundraising activities will also take place including raffles, a silent auction, and the opportunity to add your name to Irish Fest’s Welcome or “Fáilte” Door with a tax-deductible donation. Learn more.

Also on Saturday, the annual UW Oshkosh Shamrock Shuffle 5k will take place at the Student Recreation & Wellness Center UW Oshkosh, 735 Pearl Ave. The race starts at 10 a.m. Learn more about the event here.
