Sledding

Oshkosh has sledding hills at Red Arrow Park and Westhaven Circle Park.

Cross Country Skiing/ Snowshoeing

Cross-country skiers will find 4.2 miles of groomed trails at Winnebago Community Park.  The park feature trails groomed for classic-style cross-country skiing. The trails are configured in two loops. The inner loop is 1.1 miles long; the outer loop is 3.1 miles long.

The cross-country ski trails can be accessed by the park’s north entrance. To check whether the park’s ski trails are open call 920- 232-1960 and select option 5.

Snowshoeing is available on the walking paths of the 35-acre Coughlin Natural Area. The paths for snowshoeing are marked. Cross country skiing on ungroomed trails is also possible.

Cross Country Skiing and snowshoeing is also allowed on the Wiowash trail, which is used by snowmobiles during the winter.

Hergert Sport Center sells and rents cross-country skis, snowshoes, downhill skis and snowboards.

Ice Skating

During the winter, outdoor ice skating rinks can be found at Menomonee Park and South Park.

The Oshkosh Community YMCA maintains an indoor skating rink. It offers recreational skate opportunities, learn to skate programs, figure skating classes and ice hockey for youth and adults. The ice arena is located at 3303 W. 20th Ave.
