Oshkosh is a great place to enjoy this fun game, which is like a high tech treasure hunt. Use a device with GPS, like a smart phone, to find the location of caches, which are listed online at geocaching.com.

There are dozens of geocaches around Oshkosh in places like parks, businesses and trails. Here are a few scenic places you might want to check out:

The Wiouwash Trail

Roughly every few hundred yards you’ll find a cache on this trail, which follows a historic railroad bed north and west of Oshkosh. It’s a great place for a geo-hike.

Menominee Park

Caches are scattered through this park, which is located on the shore of Lake Winnebago. It’s a pleasant place to spend an afternoon geocaching and picnicking.

South Park

This park is home to a World War II Memorial and several special caches.

Downtown Oshkosh

Caches are scattered around downtown, including some in the Main Street area. These caches are close to lots of great dining. Geocaching can make one hungry!
