The New Year, a new you: get fit, have fun in Oshkosh

Get 2015 off to a healthy start in Oshkosh. Wisconsin’s Event City offers lots of fun ways to get moving this winter. From cross country skiing to sledding, there’s plenty to do outside in Oshkosh. Here are some fun ideas, and an estimate of how many calories you can burn while you’re enjoying the day in Oshkosh.

Snowy Tree and field

 

  • Cross Country skiing in Winnebago County Park. Enjoy 4.2
    miles of trails groomed for classic-style cross-country skiing. Burn 600+ calories per hour.
  • Snowshoe the scenic trails in the Coughlin Community Area. The trails are beautiful and you can burn 500+ calories per hour.
  • Go sledding on the hills in Red Arrow Park and
    Westhaven Circle Park. It’s a thrill and if you keep moving, you can burn 500 calories per hour.
  • Go ice skating on Lake Winnebago. While out enjoying Wisconsin’s largest inland lake, you can burn 400
