From June 12-15, the Irish will reign in Oshkosh. The sixth annual Irish Fest will take place at Leach Amphitheater on the Fox River in downtown Oshkosh. Irish Fest will offer food, live music, dance performances, a 5K run/walk and a raffle. It’s the perfect way to kick off summer. There will be two stages, lots of people, wonderful views of the river and plenty of fun.
Throughout the festival, there will be presentations in the cultural village. Festival-goers will learn about Irish history and culture. Learn about Celtic canines, hear storytellers and see a currach boat demonstration. Little Leprechaun Land will have entertaining activities for children. And, vendors will be selling good things to eat and drink.
The three-day event kicks off on Thursday night with Celtic Rock Night. At 6pm, Small Town Delinquents will take the stage, followed by The Kissers at 7:30pm. Whiskey of the Damned is scheduled to start at 9:30pm.
On Saturday morning, there will be a 5K charity run/walk benefiting Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin. The gun goes off at 8am, and all participants will receive a t-shirt, drinks and snacks, as well as free admission to Irish Fest on Saturday. On Sunday, there will be an Irish Mass at 10am, and the Oshkosh Irish Fest Choir will provide the music.
