When fall turns to winter, Oshkosh offers a number of fun indoor activities for all ages. Head out shopping, lace up the ice skates or bowl a few games. You’ll find there’s a lot to do during the days of snow and ice.
With hundreds of shops, galleries and retailers Oshkosh provides shopping enough to entertain everyone in your family. And, when you need to fuel up for more shopping, Oshkosh offers dozens of restaurants, from brew pubs to supper clubs.
A fun way to spend a winter afternoon is at the Oshkosh Community YMCA Ice Skating Rink. There are open skate hours every day. It’s an excellent facility. So, put on those skates and start gliding across the ice.
Oshkosh Lanes at 275 North Washburn presents bowlers with some of the finest lanes in the state. The new AMF SPL synthetic lanes are top notch. Open bowling is available from open to close. An interesting bowling option is Electric Lounge & Lanes, located in the historic Eagles Club at 405 Washington Ave. Other bowling options include the classic T & O Bowling Lanes at 1007 Oregon Street and Shoreview Lanes at 1823 Grove Street.
