Memorial Day Procession

Memorial Day Programs and Procession

7 a.m. “Reading of the Names” at South Park to remember area service members killed in action.
8 a.m. ceremony laying wreath in water in Fox River behind Oshkosh Convention Center by Main Street bridge to remember those who lost their lives at sea.
9 a.m. procession begins at Jackson St. and Algoma Blvd., through the university, past Paine Art Center, to Riverside Cemetery featuring 30 veteran service organizations, school bands, scouts, military vehicles, law enforcement and firefighters. Followed immediately by a Memorial Day service at Riverside Cemetery to remember and honor all who served.

Military Veterans Museum Display Dedication

10 a.m.-5 p.m. dedication of new display at Military Veterans Museum and Education Center, 4300 Poberezny Rd., featuring painting by Appleton’s Tim Mayer, founder of Artists for the Humanities. Free admission.
