    Oshkosh Public Museum

Situated just off the Fox River near historic downtown Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Oshkosh Public Museum features more than 10,000 square feet of exhibits showcasing the heritage of Oshkosh and the Lake Winnebago Region of Wisconsin.

In addition to hosting world-class traveling exhibitions and events throughout the year, the Oshkosh Public Museum also offers a wide variety of interactive local history exhibits to suit interests and guests of all ages. Discover the hidden treasures of Grandma’s Attic, experience life on the frontier and the hardships of a Civil War soldier, and travel back to the logging and lumbering days that put Oshkosh on the map.

Several galleries of the Oshkosh Public Museum are located in the historic Sawyer family home, an English Tudor Revival residence built in 1908 for lumber baron and banker Edgar P. Sawyer and his family. A visit to the Museum is hardly complete without a stroll through the halls to marvel at the rich interiors designed by the famous Tiffany Studios of New York.

And while here, a definite must-do is a visit to the Apostles Clock as it strikes the hour.

Whatever your interests, and whether visiting for the first time or the hundredth time, the Oshkosh Public Museum has something for everyone.

    Enjoy your visit!
