Fun in Downtown Oshkosh
The Oshkosh Pedal Trolley gives you a fresh perspective on the city, and you’ll discover hidden stores and street corners that you’ve missed! I love the Pedal Trolley on fall evenings; the 5:30-7:30pm tour is my favorite. Downtown Oshkosh looks great in the twilight, and lots of the downtown merchants have cool lighting and outside spaces to explore. After a Pedal Trolley ride, you’ll love Oshkosh even more!
As an experienced Pedal Trolley enthusiast, I’d like to offer a few tips to ensure a memorable Tour d’Oshkosh:
Step 1: Reserve a Pedal Trolley ride
You can reserve all 14 seats on the Oshkosh Pedal Trolley, or you can book an individual seat. I’ve done both. I had fun joining a birthday party from Chilton this summer, they taught me how to play the ‘Thunderstruck’ drinking game, and I heard some crazy 90s music I had forgotten about!
For our Why I Love Oshkosh video shoot, we wrangled some downtown peeps, and made our own fun on a Tuesday, if you can believe that. After a 2 hour tour, I have some new friends! The pedal trolley is an awesome setting for a family reunion or work-team building, getting outside, off the phone, and pedaling in the fresh air stimulates great conversations! Step 2: Customize Your Trolley Experience
Did you know you can decorate the Pedal Trolley for special events? Of course you can! Plus you can pick the stops you want to make in downtown Oshkosh, your route through the city, and bring your own drinks, in your own cooler. BOOM! We stopped at Elsewhere Market and Coffee House first - we energized with some coffees and shopped the market! Our next stop included a few more drinks and some delicious appetizers at Bar 430! I love that you can customize your stops along the way!
If you’re not sure what to do, your trolley driver will have some great suggestions for you: are you vintage shopping, mural stalking, or pub crawling? There are options for every interest in downtown. Check out Discover Oshkosh’s Things To Do page for new ideas!
Step 3: The Playlist
The trolley has a rocking sound system so you can party with your very own curated Pedal Trolley playlist. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of The Playlist. A few of my trolley playlist staples are Sweet Caroline, Don’t Stop Believin’, and Free Fallin’. This is your chance to not only rock your friends, but all of Downtown Oshkosh. Be sure to invest an appropriate amount of time on your playlist!
Step 4: Have Fun!
When you’re cruising through town on the Pedal Trolley, everyone you pass, whether they’re on foot or in cars, will wave at you. They all wish they were on the pedal trolley right now, having fun like you are! So go with it: wave, holler, and party like it’s 1999! I’ll look for you on the Oshkosh Pedal Trolley!
