Greene’s on the Green! Talk about dinner with a view, this place has it all! Located at the beautiful Westhaven Golf Course, this is a stop you have to make! Recently remodeled and opened under new ownership- this is your neighborhood golf course and bar/restaurant you need to check out!
Open Year Round
Coming off a fresh dining room remodel, Westhaven just announced they will be open year around! With a new fall/winter menu on the horizon, we already can’t wait to go back! A bonus of a neighborhood golf course that will be open year around is that you can still get your golf in at their indoor simulator and belly up to the bar for a sandwich after! Looking to book a private party? Look no further- this is the perfect spot! Bingo Wednesdays, seasonal cocktails and specials happening weekly, there are plenty of opportunities to swing in and discover your new favorite part of Greene’s on the Green!
Let's Talk Apps
Onto the food, I am pretty sure we still talk about how great this entire experience was! For appetizers, we started with their famous cheese curds! Hand battered and breaded white cheddar cheese curds tossed in their house- made Guinness beer batter and served with ranch! I would go back just based on these curds! SO good!
Next we sampled their Kettle chips and Frankie’s Dip which we can best describe as a fantastic homemade dill dip with a twist. I haven’t met a kettle chip and dip I haven’t liked, and this one definitely passed the test too!
Burgers, Mac, Fish Fry's & More!
If you are a mac and cheese lover like myself, you are absolutely going to want to try Aunt Cyndi’s Mac & Cheese! Aunt Cyndi’s classic three cheese baked mac n cheese topped with more cheese and dusted with their very own fairy dust! Justin, our server, recommended adding crispy chicken and buffalo sauce and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with those additions!
One of the owners, Dave, has his very own burger on the menu so naturally we had to test that out! The Richter Scale is a juicy ½ pound burger with pepperjack cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo and topped with sriracha mayo on a toasted bun! 10 stars, Dave! Fantastic burger!! We ordered it with their fries and a side of southwest ranch- very good!
If you have read a few of my blogs, you know that I consider myself a sandwich aficionado, especially of the BLT variety! Greene’s BLT is one of the best- for sure! Double stacked Applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on toasted sourdough. It is such a classic that you really can’t go wrong with ordering! The side options available at Greene’s are french fries, tater tots and chips. The tater tots with a side of ranch was definitely the move. Their ranch is up there with some of the best in Oshkosh!
Every Friday, along with their weekly fish fry, they have a “Catch of the Day”. This one was so good I am holding out hope that they add it to their menu! The Wisconsin Fish Tacos were their Guinness Battered cod topped with lettuce, homemade tarter and chopped pickles. Greene’s, if you are reading this, the Wisconsin Fish Tacos should be here to stay!!
