Oshkosh’s newest food spot, Cocktail Corner Bar & Grill, is a must-stop! Located at 303 N Sawyer St in Oshkosh, the decor and vibe alone will blow you away. Are you looking for some unique appetizers, fantastic smash burgers, and a Spotted Cow fish fry? Cocktail Corner has it all! Owned by Del and Nev Singh, Cocktail Corner opened on July 18th and has quickly become a new favorite in Oshkosh. It is a scratch kitchen that is pumping out everyone's favorites, like our server Amanda’s favorite, Garlic Cheese curds!
Apps Please!
We started out on our Cocktail Corner journey with the Wonton-Wrapped Mozzarella Sticks, Gouda Mac n Cheese Bites, and the Spicy Battered Cauliflower! You can absolutely make a meal out of these appetizers and they are truly fantastic! The spicy cauliflower wasn’t too spicy and had the best crunch! Mozzarella sticks- it really doesn't get more classic or delicious! (Try them with the Thai chili sauce!!) The Gouda mac and cheese was my favorite; I would make the trip back to have at least a few orders! There were quite a few more options on the menu that we wanted to try for the appetizers, Strawberry Bruschetta?! Yum!!
Burgers and Sandwiches
We asked Amanda what was the most common item ordered and a fan favorite so far, she said the burgers! Wagyu smash burgers? Say less! We tried the Mushroom Swiss with caramelized onions, mushrooms, swiss cheese, and pub sauce. The homemade pub sauce was a perfect touch! A little sweet, and a little tangy and it left us wanting to get some more sides of it for the fantastic waffle fries the sandwich came with! Bonus- they use Manderfield buns, some of our favorites!
Ready for my personal favorite entree?! The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich! WOW, that is all I can say. Fried chicken breast, tossed in hot honey, pickles, honey dijon, and lettuce- it exceeded all of our expectations! The chicken was fantastic, it wasn’t overly spicy and really had the best flavor! Please go try this sandwich and let us know how much you love it too!
Flatbreads and Pizzas
Elote Corn Flatbread. Oh yeah, they have that too! It blew us away how great it was! Corn Elote salsa, cilantro, mozzarella and finished with Cotija chili powder and lime crema- there were a few of us who truly couldn't get enough. Perfectly crispy, with fantastic flavor, it is a must-order and try!
Yummy Salads
After all of those fantastic samples, we needed to try out a salad and we picked a great one! A very refreshing Strawberry Salad with strawberries, red onions, goat cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, almonds, croutons, we added chicken, and served it with a strawberry poppy seed dressing, which was the perfect finish to this meal! It was incredibly fresh and was a great portion size!
Chef Cliff popped out to say hi and we couldn’t help but give him rave reviews! His personal favorite menu item is the Double Waygu smash burger with cheese! Noted for next time, Cliff! While they are new and putting finishing touches on everything, they are still running specials throughout the week and especially during football season! We can’t wait to try their fish fry next.
